Cambridge Ultrasonics is based in a quiet, rural location a few miles outside Cambridge.

As well as an attractive salary and a friendly working environment we can offer a flexible working pattern. We are interested in talking to experienced engineers/scientists/mathematicians living in the Cambridge area who want to work from home as consultants.

Positions available

Position:

Consultant or employed electronic/computing engineer or physicist with strong experience in electronic design. Ideally, you would have the following education:

• A good class of degree in physics or electronic engineering or computing from a leading university.
• PhD in a related discipline.
• Several years experience in electronics.

Description:

Design and development of electronic circuits for instrumentation, including data acquisition and ultrasonic systems.

Requirements:

Skills in:

• Digital design: DSP, FPGA and experience with VHDL.
• Analogue design: op-amp signal conditioning to 100 MHz, power amplifiers, ADC stages.
• PCB CAD design.
• Matlab, Simulink.
• Experience with signal processing.

Salary:

Consultants - negotiated fixed price for each project.

Employees - starting salary around £ 24,000 for full-time.
